When are Ski Resorts Closing?
Ski areas will be closing down way too soon. As usual, and especially this year, ski resorts will be shutting down because of a lack of people and not a lack of snow.

Here are closing dates for most Sierra ski areas:

Sunday, April 9
Tahoe Donner

Sunday, April 16
Diamond Peak
Homewood
Kirkwood
Dodge Ridge

Sunday, April 23
Northstar
Sierra-at-Tahoe
Sugar Bowl
Bear Valley

Sunday, April 30
Heavenly

Sunday, May  29
Mount Rose (limited to certain days of the week)

July 4th
Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows  (depending on snow, may be limited to weekends, or closed during some days before July 4.)
Mammoth Mountain is open on a daily basis usually until July 4th.
Mammoth is known for it's fantastic spring skiing.

These dates may change, so give the resorts a call or visit their website before heading there.
